Strictly for Martin House and to celebrate Adam
AdsFoundation directors Dr Zoe Picton-Howell and Paul Bojelian will be putting on their dancing shoes this month to fund raise for Martin House children and young people’s hospice, by joining that organisation’s Strictly Challenge.
Zoe and Paul are well aware of the vital role children’s hospices play in supporting children and their families. Adam visited Naomi House in Hampshire and Rachel House in Scotland as well has spending the last 24 hours of his life and dying at Martin House.
Zoe is also a member of the Martin House Research Group’s Family Advisory Board, one of a team of parents (there is a separate young persons advisor group) who advise the Group, bringing lived experience, on their research work.
Zoe and Paul will train on six Sunday afternoons learning the Cha Cha Cha, Fox Trot and Argentine Tango. They are inspired to take part in the challenge as Adam was a great fan of the BBC Strictly programme and the picture above shows him dressed up to watch the final during one of his hospital stays.
If you would like to donate to Martin House’s vital work by sponsoring Zoe and Paul you can do so from this LINK.
Each couple has been given a target of £500 to raise for Martin House. Martin House report that this sum ‘could pay for a video consultation for five families with a child requiring urgent symptom control. This support in-house negates the need for a GP appointment or hospital admission, alleviating current pressures on our NHS’.
There will be a fundraising gala final evening where all the dancers were perform in Leeds UK on Saturday 12th March, 2022, if you would like to attend please use the CONTACT US tab above to get in touch and we can send you further details.
