AdsTalk21 Widely Praised
Dr Karen Horridge’s Adam Bojelian Memorial Talk, ‘Equal outcomes for all disabled children?’ given via zoom on 24th March 2021, has been widely praised by health professionals, carers, disabled young people and academics.
Dr Horridge, a leading expert in child disability, with over thirty years experiences in working for the NHS,* gave a honest account of the challenges too many disabled children face in accessing healthcare, which can include prejudicial attitudes amongst health professionals. However, Dr. Horridge also provided solutions to these problems, some of them straight forward ones.
Since #AdsTalk21 we have been told by several universities and NHS Trusts that they will be using Dr Horridge’s talk in the education and training of their staff in future.
