Learn with Dr Dog – Introduction

Adam’s dog Charlie has been the star of Learn With Dr Dog films since their launch. Charlie sadly died in November 2021, thankfully after a long and happy life.  The AdsFoundation has produced this short film as a tribute to Charlie and the huge part he played in Adam’s life.

AdsFoundation: A Tribute to Charlie aka Dr Dog

‘Learn with Dr. Dog’ are resources provided by the Ads Foundation for the education and training of health and social care professionals and others.

They are short (around 5-10 minute) films which feature Adam’s dog Charlie as Dr. Dog and provide information on healthcare law or ethics in an easily accessible and fun way.

Individuals and organisations are welcome to use ‘Learn with Dr.Dog’ films for educational and training purposes, provided the Adam Bojelian Foundation CIC (The AdsFoundation) is credited as the owner of all intellectual property rights in the films.

The Ads Foundation provides ‘Learn with Dr. Dog’ films free of charge for educational and training use, but encourages those who can afford to do so to make a donation to the AdsFoundation to support our work.

The AdsFoundation can also create bespoke Learn with Dr Dog short films for your organisation. For this service we charge a fee calculated taking into consideration both our time and your organisation’s ability to pay. Please CONTACT US if you would like to discuss this option further.

Learn with Dr Dog films are created purely for educational and training purposes to give a quick overview of an aspect of healthcare law and ethics in a fun and accessible way. They are not intended and should not be used as a source of legal advice. If you have a particular legal question, advice should be sort from a suitably qualified and experienced legal professional.

Learn with Dr Dog Series One teaches about the NHS Constitution, which sets out the rights patients, public and NHS staff should enjoy in England. The series includes 22 lessons each covering a key right in the Constitution.

The early films in series one are very naïve and basic in their presentation, using Dr. Dog and Adam’s toys to explain key NHS Constitution rights. Later films in series one, use videoscribe.

Learn with Dr Dog Series Two teaches about some key concepts in English healthcare law and ethics. Lesson 1 explains Gross Negligence Manslaughter and Lesson 2 explains ‘the Rule of Law‘. More key concepts will be added over time.

Learn with Dr Dog Series Three teaches about models of disability. This three film series covers in Lesson 1 the medical model of disability, in Lesson 2, the social model and Lesson 3 the now legally required human rights model of disability.
